Harlau Homestead & Garden Tour Experience
Step inside the story of Harlau and enjoy a very special country experience hosted personally by Maree Hynes.
Discover the history, gardens and stories behind Harlau with a unique half-day experience combining delicious food, local history and a personally guided garden tour.
Your host, Maree Hynes, will share the fascinating story of the historic homestead and its more than 100 years of history. Hear how Maree and Michael came to purchase the property, the changes they have made over the years, and the inspiration and hard work behind the transformation of both the homestead and its beautiful country gardens.
Maree will then take you on a personally guided tour of the gardens, sharing stories, ideas and anecdotes along the way and giving you an insight into how the gardens have evolved into what you see today.
Choose from one of our two Harlau experiences:
Breakfast, History & Garden Tour – 9.00am
Begin your morning with a delicious breakfast at Harlau House Café & Restaurant, followed by Maree's talk on the history of the homestead and property.
Afterwards, join Maree for a guided walk through the gardens, taking your time to enjoy the beautiful country surroundings and hear the stories behind them.
Morning Tea, Garden Tour & Lunch – 10.30am
Start with herbal tea and one of our famous Harlau cheese puffs while Maree shares the story and history of the homestead.
Then head out with Maree for your personally guided garden tour before returning to Harlau House Café & Restaurant for a delicious lunch.
Morning tea, garden tour and lunch are all included in your ticket.
